  Mahjong is also called “Maque” or “Quepai”. With a history of over 1,000 years and collected wisdom of the nation, it is an invaluable legacy and authentic quintessence of China.

  As a marginal science, mahjong not only contains knowledge of philosophy, literature, chronometer, geography and history, but mental activities of wit and tactics between players. It integrates wisdom, fun and gaming with oriental culture characteristic of abundant connotation and rich information.   On June 18, 1998, General Administration of Sport formulated “Rules of Mahjong Game” and officially approved mahjong as sport game. This means a lot for future development of mahjong culture.
